Good Morning Y'all, as we say in Tennessee,
Hope everyone is feeling well today. You have probably already visited Dad this morning. He seems to be feeling chipper. Every morning when I wake up I hear him in the kitchen singing.

We've had rain, rain, rain here. But I love the rain and even a good thunderstorm now and then. I love to hear the thunder. Does anybody else?

Dad and I are planning to go to the grocery store this morning. I have started "coupon-ing." A friend of mine got me interested, and now it is like a hobby for me.I have an envelope of coupons for things we need. I had been lamenting that I didn't have a hobby, and now I have one, if I can call it that. I think I can because when you get all the coupons you need for one week/month, then you start the search all over again. And it really is fun. A real good web site about this is There are many other good web sites about this subject, too. If anyone has a favorite, let us know.

I love to learn new little bits of information and knowledge about the world we live in, don't you? Here's is something that I enjoyed learning . Clipperton Island is located in the north Pacific. It is a ring-shaped island! You can click on this link to get a view of it. It is very unusual.

So long for today. Hope to see you in the morning!

With love from Dad's daughter,

  1. Good Morning Mary..

I see you have two new hobbies...blogging and couponing. I only clip coupons from the Sunday paper and only for items I always use. I really dislike the coupons that make you buy 2 or 3 items. If I want to try something new I only want to buy 1. Have fun at the grocery store'll see it takes longer when carrying coupons with you. I hope to see a special section in your blog for your poems. Writing poems is a hobby not too many people can please keep on writing and sharing.

  2. Hello Aunt Mary! I like your blog. I like coupons too. There is a site that allows you to use electronic coupons and load them onto your shopper's card if your grocery store uses one. I'll blog about it soon and let you know.

I love thunderstorms!I like to be inside, curled up with a blanket and a good book when it's storming. :)

    Love you,

  3. Good afternoon, Ms. Mary! I'm so glad you've started blogging as you are a wonderful writer and have so much of value to share with us. Beautiful inaugural picture of the lion and lamb, and text! ;)

I love rain, too, and snow even more. We don't get snow here, but it has finally been raining, which I am grateful for. My furry family don't care that much for it, but they love the "after-effects". Be well! Love, Jamaka and fams

  4. Mary, glad to see you out on your own, with blogging and couponing. It is a good life. Of course I got here from Dad's blog. I am an old tomato grower and lover, Bill

  5. Good job, Mary.
You've made a really good start on a great looking blog. I like the theme, "learning together".

    I love you,
    Your brother Jim
